We, student researchers from Camarines Sur National High School (CSNHS), are currently conducting a study entitled "Efficiency of Pre-treated Peanut (Arachis hypogaea), Banana (Musa acuminata), and Pomelo (Citrus maxima) Peels as a Renewable Bio-Adsorbent in Removing Water Pollutants" that uses fruit peels in removing water pollutants. Our goal is to utilize fruit peel wastes to its extent considering that it is one of the most abundant waste that are being produced by our country. Moreover, one thing that urged us to conduct this study is the alarming issue about lack of access to clean drinking water. We aim to explore an alternative way to remove pollutants in water by means of using fruit peels. In this way, we can encourage people to practice recycling, using low-cost materials, and and utilize our resources. We already invested time, patience and effort just to make our study successful and to accomplish the aim of our study in the future.
